As one is launched into motherhood there are a lot of decisions to make. What car seat do you buy? Are you going to nurse or bottle feed? Are you going to hire a postpartum doula? Will you stand up for yourself to your MIL?
Too often we burden ourselves with the thought of "is this the right or wrong decision", we do this because, of course, you want to make the right choice. In motherhood, there often isn't a "right choice". There is a right for you and right for me choice, everyones "right compass" is different. Embracing all the differences is a practice.
Do you go to friends/family/therapists hoping they will give you the answers you're looking for? Do you agonize over safety ratings and best consumer baby products? Or have you ever stopped and felt the answer that is inside your body? We all have the ability to go inside ourselves and feel our bodies – inwards and out, all you have to do is be open to listening.
