Too many tabs. Not enough coffee (never enough coffee). And honestly, where’s your snack?

Counselling & creative
coping tools for Canadian moms

If you're a mom with 47 tabs open and you can't close any of them because somehow they're all important - you’re not broken.

You’re carrying everyone and everything while they ask why you seem "off."

There’s this emptiness you can’t quite put your finger on. You know it’s there, but you can’t pinpoint what’s wrong.

You ought to know what it feels like to think your own thoughts. And maybe go to the bathroom alone (probably too much to ask for it to be uninterrupted).

I help overwhelmed moms feel lighter.

You’ve seen the mom self-care posts.

You get it. But finding time for a hot bath, let alone meditate, has you overthinking (again).

Where are these women finding the time? Right now, you feel inundated with life’s stuff.

You used to be creative. You enjoyed journaling, music, and sometimes you even danced spontaneously in your kitchen. But now you just don’t have the time (or energy).

You’re everything to everyone and you’re going to lose your mind. You want someone to notice all your hard work. You want someone to tell you you’re doing a good job.

But mostly? You want to stop overthinking, planning, deciding, and worrying. Those mental tabs just won’t close.

You’re not sure your issues are “worth therapy.”

What happens when we work together:

You get to say "I'm everything to everyone and I am having a hard time keeping my shit together" without someone trying to fix you

You start feeling lighter, even if it's just for moments at first

You rely less on mindless scrolling, Netflix binges, and stress eating to cope

You remember who you are beyond the endless to-do lists

You learn how to take time for yourself without drowning in guilt

You discover what's missing so you can feel more energy and joy

Most sessions feel like talking, with a refreshing take on clinical tools - rooted in validation, compassion, and practical strategies. I weave in creative, mindful, human coping tools naturally. No experience needed, just a willingness to try.

Maybe you’re scared. Maybe nervous. That’s okay. We’ll go there together, into the dark, so you can find the light.

How I Help

Hey there Mama, I’m Kayla - Registered Social Worker, Creative Counsellor, and fellow mom who’s been through the postpartum trenches.

When traditional healthcare handed me a pamphlet and told me to try yoga and gratitude journaling, I felt dismissed. After my own spiral through anxiety and intrusive thoughts, I realized I needed something deeper. Talking wasn’t enough. I needed to get out of my spinning head and back into my hands, my body.

And I refuse to tell drowning mothers to just “cherish every moment” (please…).

Here’s what’s possible:

You can hear “what’s for dinner?” without wanting to scream into a pillow

You can drink a
cup of coffee
while it’s still hot

You can have opinions
about things other than snacks and bedtime

Free Checkin for Moms

A simple tool for when someone asks "How are you?" and your brain goes blank.

What mom’s are saying

You’re ready if…

→ You don’t know what’s “wrong” but something feels off

→ You’re tired of saying “fine” when you’re not

→ You’re ready to stop performing and start being you unapologetically

→ You want to feel like yourself again (even if you’ve forgotten who that is)

🚫 Not for you if: You’re resistant to change, or you need everything to be “perfect” before you start.

Therapy and support for moms who are tired of pretending they’re fine

Your story matters. You matter. Your well-being matters.

It's okay if you're not "fine" right now. It's okay that you're feeling a little dark. Life can be messy and sometimes we lose track of who we are.

What if: Instead of drowning every day, you had some days where you remembered what it felt like to dance spontaneously in your kitchen? Where you could take time for yourself without drowning in guilt?

It's easier than you might be telling yourself.

Your first consultation is free. Sessions are covered by benefits.

P.S. Nope, you’re not crazy. Every mom loses her shit sometimes. The mental load is crushing, the guilt is relentless - but even tiny shifts can make Tuesday feel less like survival and more like you again.
