How to Use This Course

The Simple (But Important) Roadmap

Here's how this works:

1. ✅ Complete the Welcome Module (You're already here—look at you go!)

2. ✅ Go through the next eight modules at your own pace (or show up live if that's your thing!)

3. ✅ Practice it Because here's the truth: there's a BIG difference between knowing something and actually using it.

You can understand cognitive distortions in theory all day long. But until you start catching them in real-time—in the middle of the mental spiral, in the heat of the moment, when your kid is melting down in Target—they're just concepts.

This program bridges that gap.

What This Work Actually Looks Like

This isn't about "thinking happy thoughts" or pretending every moment is precious.

This is about:

Noticing when a distortion shows up (without judgment)

Reflecting on where it came from and whether it's actually true

Reimagining what else could be true in this moment

It's about choosing which thoughts get to stay—and which ones deserve a softer exit.

Not every thought deserves your attention. Not every thought deserves to drive the bus.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

This is a practice, not a performance.

You don't have to get it perfect. You don't have to reframe every thought. Some days, you'll catch yourself mid-spiral and interrupt it. Other days, you'll realize three hours later, Oh, I was catastrophizing again. Both are progress.

Go at your own pace.

If you need to pause and sit with a module for a week, do it. If you want to binge the whole thing in one sitting, go for it. There's no "right way" to do this—only your way.

Bring a journal (or don't).

Some of you will love the reflection prompts and want to write everything out. Some of you will process it all in your head while folding laundry. Both are valid. Do what works for you.

Show up messy.

This work doesn't require you to have your life together. It doesn't require you to feel motivated or inspired. It just requires you to show up as you are—tired, overwhelmed, skeptical, hopeful, or all of the above.

What You'll Need

  • Your brain (the messy, overthinking, beautifully human one you've got)

  • A little curiosity (even if it's buried under exhaustion)

  • Permission to be imperfect (which I'm officially giving you right now)

Optional but helpful:

  • A journal or notebook

  • A quiet moment (or a chaotic one—we work with what we've got)

  • A willingness to be honest with yourself

Ready?

You've got the roadmap. You know what this work is about. You know it's okay to show up messy.

Now let's dive in.
