Upcoming Mindful Art events for moms
Messy Magic Mindful Art ClubYou are the mom who feels everything. All the way down. The guilt, the rage, the ache of missing who you used to be before you were somebody's everything. You feel it in technicolor. That is not the problem.
The problem is where it all goes when there is no time to feel it. It gets balled up and shoved behind your ribs on the drive home from daycare/school/swimming lessons. It gets swallowed whole in the cereal aisle. It gets smiled through at pickup, at the birthday party, at Sunday dinner, until one day it comes out sideways, at the wrong person, over the wrong thing, and you do not even recognize your own voice.
Messy Magic Mindful Art Club is where all of that finally gets somewhere to go.
Once a week, for one hour, you meditate, you make art, you write the ugly true sentence, you catch your breath.
Your journals are no longer blank pages. Nobody cares if it is good. This is not a class. This is art as therapy.
